gildi

gildi is an intelligent portfolio management platform that connects General Partners and Limited Partners in a single, unified dashboard. As CTO & Co-Founder, I architected and built the entire platform from scratch.

For General Partners

Manage multiple funds from one dashboard with full portfolio oversight. Upload quarterly reports (PDF, DOCX, CSV) and let AI automatically extract positions, NAV, asset allocations, and performance metrics using Google Gemini with GPT-4 fallback. Issue and track capital calls per LP with built-in payment processing via Modern Treasury. View historical NAV timelines, fund performance, and cross-fund analytics. Control LP access with invitation-based onboarding.

For Limited Partners

View all fund investments in one place with commitment tracking and capital call history. Interactive world map showing geographic allocation across funds. Top holdings, sector breakdowns, and fund-level detail dialogs. Record investment and distribution transactions directly from the funds view. Create and track your own funds by uploading personal portfolio statements or full fund reports, with AI extraction tailored to each document type.

AI-Powered Extraction

Three distinct processing paths: GP uploads for fund-level reports, LP personal statements for individual portfolios, and LP fund reports for third-party fund data. Each path uses tailored extraction logic to pull positions, NAV, allocations, and performance metrics. Portfolio position snapshots with historical tracking across quarters, enabling trend analysis and period-over-period comparison.

Platform Infrastructure

Bank account linking and payment flows for capital calls via Modern Treasury. Feature flags for capital calls and banking modules. Multi-currency support across global funds. Role-based access for GPs, LPs, and Admins with per-fund visibility controls. Admin panel for user management. Changelog system with in-app 'What's New' notifications. Next.js frontend with NestJS backend and PostgreSQL, built around event-driven patterns for financial state machines.
